Cannes Film Festival wrapped last weekend and whilst many supermodels wore long dresses to hit the red carpet, a flurry of actresses including Cate Blanchett and Léa Seydoux opted instead to wear stunning suits.
During the festival 82 women climbed Palais des Festival's steps on the red-carpet to protest that there be an improvement in gender equality, (equal pay) and a 'safe workplace' for women in the film industry. Although during the protest Blanchett wore a black Armani Privé custom gown, the rest of the festival Blanchett and other actresses chose to wear an array of suits.
Still looking extremely feminine in powdery pinks, yellows, and with a figure hugging cut, the celebrities made a show of strength through fashion with the power suit. Here are a look at some of the best female boss looks from Cannes as well as others donning suits outside of the French Riviera.
