THE BEGINNING
My love of fashion ignited when I started modeling at the age of ten in England. I did my first campaign wiqth Marks and Spencer’s shortly after as well as cover shoots for various magazines. While I was in front of the camera, I quickly fell in love with all aspects of it, the elements of creativity and life of fashion.
My Mum
My mother has been and continues to be an inspiration to me. Being from England but having lived in Hong Kong for many years, she had both European and Chinese influence in her style and life. Even when she picked me up from school, she always looked so chic and classy. She embodied a diverse cultural background within as much as I embodied a Eurasian identity physically. She was the one who inspired me to see the beauty of being Eurasian and more importantly, to see the beauty of being a global person. I didn’t know it then, but this was the special kernel that gave birth to Eurasian Vogue.
I still remember what I was wearing when it happened
Clothes I wear on a specific day are an extension of how I feel that specific moment. It becomes entwined in the memory of that day as much as the places I visited and the conversations I had. My clothes become my diary hanging in my closet. They rekindle beautiful visual memories and emotions of that day. Whether it is of love, pain, happiness or sadness, it is a physical definition of my experiences.
My Passion
Having lived in London, Hong Kong, Beijing, Taipei, Miami and Los Angeles, I’ve become fascinated with global designers and their work. They are my true artists. I love seeing their runway shows first hand and interviewing them about their creative process and what inspired their work. It excites me to meet new designers and I’m always keeping my eye out for the next big thing.
I hope you enjoy my passion and thank you for stopping by!
With love,
Stacy
