I posted about the new mint trend last week, and I still can't get enough of it. Whilst I've been back in England these past few weeks I've seen it everywhere and have recently added a few new pieces to my wardrobe (pictured below) including an amazing Balenciaga envelope clutch with strap. I can't wait to photograph it properly, but in the mean time scroll down for some of my inspirations on how to wear mint!

![]() Every now and then, there's a fashion star that emerges, one that even the likes of Jessica Alba and Bieber can't compete with in selling power, and the most recent has to be Miss Olivia Palermo. The reason I'm comparing her to these two celebs is because both Alba and Bieber have worn westward Leaning sunglasses but nothing drove the sales up like Palermo when she began wearing the brand in 2012. No matter what anyones personal opinion is of Palermo, (she got a fair amount of slack for the way she came across in reality show 'The City') no one can deny she is one stylish lady. She was my look of the week at the Westward Leaning event last week as she unveiled her collaboration with the brand. Anything Palermo wears, instantly increases sales, so it made perfect sense for her to collaborate with the brands sunglasses Palermo has long been an advocate of emerging brands and she has worn these sunnies since the company's launch two years ago which has helped establish them as one of the go to designers for sunglasses. Of their collaboration with Palermo, Westward Leaning said, " We are thrilled to present these eight exclusive models designed in collaboration with Olivia, one of our earliest and most consistent supporters. In recognition of Olivia’s exceptional style, honed by years of travel, we’ve named each of the eight models after some of her favorite places around the world, from Dumbo and Berlin to Saint Germain and Palm Beach." Palermo says of the collection “Westward Leaning sunglasses are effortlessly chic and flattering to just about any ensemble, which has made this collaboration a dream.” For our part, we at Westward Leaning couldn’t have asked for a more loyal or stylish informal brand ambassador, and it has been an honor to collaborate with her on this specific collection." Below are a few of my fav sunglasses from the collection! Other celeb fans of the Westward LeaningSpring - Summer is one of my favorite times of year, and this years trends have me even more excited about it! Having made a move to LA this past year, it definitely has effected my wardrobe, pushing me to wear more colour (LA doesn't seem to do black!!) and allowing me to wear more light and floaty clothes. Here are look at some of my favorite trends this season and some of my buys for this summer! Crop tops!! ![]() They may send you into a cold sweat at the thought of wearing them, but like it or not crop tops are huge this season. From the more smart, blouse like tops seen on the left from BCBGMaxazria to sequin white tops for the evening they were all over the runway and now, all over the high street. Even if you don't like to bare your stomach, fear not, there are plenty of ways to wear them! If you don't like to show too much, slip a fitted vest underneath and layer the crop top over the top, or slip on under or over a blouse to add some extra layers and detail to your outfit. Below are my favorite crops around! Happy shopping!! Sheer look!![]() The sheer look is set to be big this season. I've always loved the sheer look, so elegant. A dress with a little sheer lace at the bottom such as this Phillip Lim dress (left) is a great way to flash a little flesh but still feel covered. I am loving BCBGMaxazria at the moment. There is one just down the road from me in LA and I'm always drawn to their beautiful window displays and stunning dresses and beautifully cut clothes. This season they have some beautiful sheer clothing with classic tailoring with a slight twist to help see you through the summer! Below are some of my fav picks of the season! Bomber Jackets!!!I never thought I'd say this but bomber jackets are back, and I'm loving them!! A flurry of celebs have been wearing them, and they seem to working so well with the Sporty Luxe look this year! I recently bought one by Marni and I adore it, with its minty green colors it works so well with this seasons colors!! Take a look at some of the celebs rocking them, who knew they could be so versatile!! Yellow!!! I'm loving the yellow trend that's making an appearance this season. It's so bright and yummy and just makes me feel instantly brighter. I know it's not a colour everyone can pull of but fear not, you can always add a yellow bag, or shoe (ala Kate Hudson below) to add some beautiful colour to your outfit!! I bought a beautiful warehouse trench, that I plan to wear to brighten up an all black outfit for a funky evening look! Take a look at my pick of the new sunny trend!! Mint!!Even more than the yellow trend this season, I am loving the mint trend. It makes me feel so fresh, and spring like!! It was shown in the Miu Miu, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Chanel, Christopher Kane and Osman collection and of course the high street has followed suit! It literally suits every coloring so everyone can wear a little piece of mint this season! So fresh... Sports LuxeSports Luxe is a trend I'm really excited about this season. It's always fun when a new trend comes out and it adds a different spin to an already established item, and this new Luxe Sports trend is exactly that. A pair of luxe joggers are so comfortable and paired with ankle strapped or healed pumps makes for a great lunch or dinner outfit. I recently bought these luxe joggers from topshop (below). They are super comfy and feel really funky paired with a black plan vest and leather jacket or smart blazer. Wear with strappy sandals and little clutch and you're good to go. Take a look at some of my fav looks. Overalls, jumpsuits and the new boilersuit!!Every season there is a trend that girls love and guys, well... not so much!! This season it is undoubtedly the boilersuit. We started with SJP rocking the overall, that I reported several months ago. The look then evolved on to a jumpsuit and now this season it's the boilersuit! First shown on Balmain's SS14 runway, Beyonce was seen wearing the look, and zara even did their own version. Love it or hate it, the look is sticking around. Personally, I love it! Worn with heels and fantastic jewelry this look is both comfortable and a great throw on piece. Check out my selection of this seasons, jumpsuits, overalls and boilersuits: |
