ANGELINA JOLIE AND BRAD PITT : THE WEDDING

Some said it would never happen, others just until we finally had marriage equality, but on August 23rd in their chateau in France the couple married with the involvement of their lovely six kids.

It was a true family affair as you might have expected from the couple, with even the children taking part in writing their parents vows, and the children's drawings printed out on Jolies dress which was designed by Luigu Massi, the wonderful tailor at Atelier Versace.

More traditional than some might have expected. The custom dress was sleeveless, floor length, with a clinched in waist, but as with all things Jolie, there was the wonderful twist with the inclusion of their children even in the dress with her floor length veil (which also had some of the children's drawings on) cascading over more of the children's drawings that decorated the back. It also seems that Donatella also had a personal hand in designing the dress as she tweeted:

"Congratulations Angelina Jolie! You look sensational in my creation for your special day!"

The couple who first began dating in 2005 had quickly increased the size of their family. Brad and Angelina have both said in the past that they felt the pressure to get married from their children. and so seems only fitting that their children were a big part of the day.

13 year old Maddox whom Angelina adopted before she met Brad, walked Angelina down the aisle with his 10 year old brother, Pax. In addition Pax also baked the wedding cake! Love it.

Not leaving out, Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6. They were in charge of the wedding rings that the couple exchanged and Knox's twin, Vivienne, Zahara, 9 played the part of the flower girls, and tossed petals they'd gathered from the families garden.

All in all the day seems to be much more traditional than anyone had expected but with the whole family involved it seems that it was very much done in the style of this beautiful couple. Congratulations to the whole Jolie-Pitt family!!

The couple first met on the set of Mr and Mrs. Smith. It was reported during this time the couple were already involved, which both denied, but Jolie later admitted... "I think a few months in I realized, 'God, I can't wait to get to work.' ... Anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork. We just became kind of a pair."
She continued,  "It took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it might mean something more than we'd earlier allowed ourselves to believe. And both knowing that the reality of that was a big thing, something that was going to take a lot of serious consideration."
The pair gave it some breathing room and once shooting wrapped they became a couple in 2005

LEATHER ON LEATHER FOR THE BOOK OF MORMON

This bank holiday I went to see The Book of Mormon. It was hilarious and truly as good as they say! The weather was pretty grim, with rain coming down heavily all day so I opted for a leather skirt and knee high boots that I pushed down for a scrunched up more relaxed look. Underneath I wore an Alexander Wang vest and Karen Millen leather jacket. Scroll down for more leather jacket inspiration!!

TAKE YOUR SUMMER WARDROBE INTO autUMN / WINTER!

8/21/2014

I came back to England a week ago for a friends wedding and the weather here reminded me just how unpredictable it can be this time of year!  We start thinking the sun seems to be disappearing for good, however if you're like me and not happy about putting your summer wardrobe away just yet heres a post about taking your summer wardrobes into autumn and maybe even winter!

The maxi is the perfect item to do this. during the day when the weather is happier, pair a tank with your long maxi skirt and have a chunky knit on hand for when the weather is turning. If you're tall and can get a way with it, a long knit will even work. If you're on the shorter side, pair it with a cropped knit and wedges or a shoe boot for evenings.

And for those cute floral summer short skirts and dresses? Put a pair of tights underneath, a cute shoe and pair that same chunky knit with it for that extra warmth! Check out the below pics for some inspo!

perfect summer maxi during the day, and vamped up for the evening with a leather jacket.

Take inspo from Nicole Richie's evening maxi look. This look would work equally well with a summer cream skirt for a more casual look

No real heavy clothing needed in LA but Jessica Alba took her cali maxi's into slightly cooler weather, with a gillet and light cardigan.

Dubai is one of my favorite cities to visit and recently I came across these pics from the airshow that I realized I hadn't posted. Leaves me remembering desert filled dinner feasts, the beautiful Burj Khalifa Hotel, the most grand shopping malls and warm nights.

"During the time of Prohibition, the Speakeasy was born and all levels of society began to party behind closed doors"... Last weekend me and some friends went back in time to the Roaring 20's by going to The Great Gatsby Party where they had re-created the feeling of days gone by. The party was at the historic Park Plaza Hotel. The venue had amazing Art Deco decor, specialty cocktails, music, dancing and a stage set for some wonderful bands / singers to perform. Everyone dressed up in fantastic 1920's inspired outfits..It was incredible! Sorry for the low quality of the pics but wanted to share the fun night!!

Warm summer nights are my favorite, and nothing feels nicer and more freeing than some sand between your toes and a maxi dress over a bikini. I love this maxi cover up, with its small straps and centre piece and side netting. Holiday and beachwear are such a fun way to flash a bit more flesh on your cover ups than you would on a standard maxi.. happy summer everyone!!

NEW YORK

I haven't been to NY for about 6 years, and revisiting was so much fun! The energy of the city is infectious and each part of NY had such a different vibe. I was there for the east coast premiere screening of our movie 100 Days, so really didn't get to take as many pictures as I would have liked sadly as it was pretty hectic.. oh well a good excuse to go back!!

Landed back in LA-- 3 flights, 5 days. Super tired but a great trip.
