She described the collection as, "Modern Gypsy" and that it was! Rachel Zoe's collection more than any other designer is reflective of her own personal style. Boho chic at its finest. A flurry of fringed coats, gypsy dresses, suede and tasseled maxis and one of my favorite outfits, a cross over white jacket and wide leg trousers made their way down the runway at this weeks NYFW.

We've seen Zoe's collection evolve from her first collection which was filled with neutrals and blacks to a collection with more color and appeal to a wider fan base, whilst still staying true to her own aesthetic.

Speaking of the collection, Zoe said 'It has a very luxe, bohemia feel to it,' and I couldn't agree more. Polished yet easy to wear, Zoe's collection didn't disappoint.

Known for her effortless glamour and perfect make up, it was only a matter of time before Palermo created her own line of make-up. The former reality star has teamed up with Ciate London and debuted their fall color collection at Sephora in Times Square two weeks ago.

Wearing a stunning Misha Nonoo monochrome dress and ankle boots by Freda Salvador, Palermo couldn't have looked chicer and cooler. Perfect New York attire.

VICTORIA BECKHAM SPRING RTW 2016

Victoria's Beckham's new RW 2016 collection was a definite departure from her previous collections. She says her transatlantic lifestyle of living in London, traveling to LA and raising a family hasn't totally influenced her collection but told WWD before her show that it's "subliminal. You see it there."

All of Victoria Beckham's collections have had classic fuss free lines with beautiful tailoring. However each collection has become less body-con, still with classic tailoring and simple silhouettes, but this collection more than any has more casual flowing cuts and a mix of materials perfect for spring. With calf length skirts and dresses, low cut v's paired with flats, this collection gave way for a much lighter, carefree and more ethereal collection.

Also another departure for Victoria and perhaps the most surprising was the patterns and pops of color she used. Unlike her previous collections using only classic patterns or none at all, this collection used a mix of patches of brighter patterns, gingham and much bolder colors. Some even adorned with images of surfers, others with a mix of patterns.

Overall this collection I believe will appeal to a much broader audience, with much easier to wear pieces. Some beautiful key pieces you can mix and match with items in your own wardrobe and even more that you can throw in a suitcase for a chic holiday. Bring on spring! Scroll down for the full collection.

LAUREN CONRAD: NEW YORK FASHION WEEK - LIMITED EDITION RUNWAY COLLECTION FOR KOHLS

Of all the collections I've seen this week hot off of NYFW, the biggest surprise to me has been Lauren Conrad's collection. Not because I didn't think the former reality TV star could design. What surprised me most was that of every collection I've seen from different designers, it's rare that I say I want every piece that walked down the runway. However with this collection, I literally want every piece that walked down the runway! Even more of a pleasant surprise is the price point of the collection. When I first saw it I honestly thought LC had created a sister line at a much higher price point, however no piece exceeds $300 and some items start as little as $12, and everything is so beautifully made using luxe materials and real leather.

So, to the collection...Conrad has made no secret of the fact she is a girly girl when it comes to her personal style and this collection is as feminine as they come, however she's managed to design it all perfectly with a modern twist. Pairing an organza long skirt with a Moto jacket in hushed lilac or a short flirty floral skirt with a dark green leather jacket.  Everything is beautifully balanced, making each outfit ultra feminine, but with a sophistication and dream like quality all at once.

Speaking of her inspiration, Conrad said she and the team had wanted an enchanted forest feel to carry over from the clothes “to the whole show, from the floor to the seating. We wanted it to convey a location.” In my opinion she has absolutely achieved this. With a wash of lilacs, creams, and ombre's with a modern twist the collection is truly a fairytale on the runway. I adore it. Scroll down for pictures from the entire collection and you will see why! (Also how fab did LC look as she took her bow at the end of the show?! What a gorgeously talented girl.)

Victoria landed at JFK today and certainly didn't go unnoticed in a hot pink sleeveless top and and matching flared trousers, with a pair of platforms underneath. The singer turned designer is in NY ahead of this years Mercedes Benz fashion week.

Victoria had tweeted this image earlier in the day, saying "'Hello NY!! X I'm so excited to be here, I've missed u! Xx vb'

In other VB related news, the Spice Girls 20 year anniversary is coming up. The other band members seem keen to reunite in honor of it, with both Mel B and Geri Halliwell saying in interviews there have been talks about it. However it has also been rumored that Victoria has already opted out. She's frequently spoken about her time with the Spice Girls fondly however she's always ended the statements saying that time of her life is over, and she has other passions and concentrations now, namely being a successful designer. The last time the band performed together was at the Closing Ceremony of 2012 London Olympics. Although it was a great opportunity for the band, VB did look somewhat uncomfortable throughout the promotion and performance and does seem much more comfortable in her new role as a designer. I have a feeling that the Spice Girls will just reunite without her.. Watch this space!

Kendal Jenner looked sophisticated and chic in New York this week as she wore a pair of high waisted jeans, loafers and gorgeous red top, accessorizing with a Givenchy medium lucrezia tote ($2490). Kendal has been killing it in her modeling career lately, recently landing a covered campaign with Estee Lauder. (For a complications of her campaigns, scroll down..)

Paris!!

Whilst in Paris, as well as visiting vintage store Didier Ludot, I also love going to Rue Boissy D'angais, one of paris' most coveted shopping locations.  Home to the flagship store of Hermes and with other stores such as Lanvin it's definitely a fashion lovers dream.  During my last trip to Paris I visited Anne Fontaine, a store which really fits my own style.  Anne Fontaine, a Brazilian designer opened her first boutique in Paris in 94'.  She started with a simple white classic shirt and since has begun designing other clothes and really created a lifestyle brand.  Filled with easy to wear trousers, unique capes and coats it's a beautifully classic place to shop and you'll be sure to have the pieces in your wardrobe ten years from now.  They are investment pieces that whilst being comfortable and easy to wear and will still look relevant 10 years from now. You'll feel like you've taken a piece of Parisian chic with you.

Picture
I purchased two items in the Anne Fontaine store. One was this cape jacket.  It's classic and reverasable so you actually have two items for the price of one! The black side is for more every day and you can reverse it and have the white side for more of a wow factor.

Picture
The cape seen here on the right in the window.  Belted through the centre it gives you a great shape and can be thrown over jeans and gives you instant chic look.

Picture
The second piece I bought was this sleeveless dress/ over trouser waistcoat. Again it's a wonderfully classic piece that can be worn either as a dress with a slip or black skirt underneath with a black vest tucked in.  I've already worn mine as a dress and over jeans for a totally different look.  This picture is from the Anne Fontaine website, but I've been wearing mine with a thick black belt around the centre to give it more shape.

I've already worn both these pieces and absolutely love them!

Vintage shopping- Paris!

I love going to Paris! I have been for both mini breaks and also in the past for work and meetings. The last work trip I took happened to coincide with Paris fashion week. Paris always feels incredibly chic but during fashion week there is even more of a fashion buzz.

Paris is renowned for having the best vintage in the world and one of the most famous stores is Didier Ludot and I couldn't help but make a trip there on the day I didn't have any meetings.

Didier Ludot is both the name of the owner of the store as well as the shop name.  He is very well known in the industry for getting the best vintage pieces and for his amazing knowledge of vintage clothes and rightly so as Ludot has been collecting (and selling) vintage pieces since 1975.

Located near the Louvre, the shop serves as both a museum of vintage pieces using windows to display the archives as well as many pieces from French designers for sale.  With rails filled with Balenciaga, Balmain, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy and Hermes amongst others.

When I visited the store, Didier Ludot himself was there with his two cute little dogs. I spotted a little black Hermes Kelly bag from the 1960's in the window for a great price so purchased my first Hermes vintage bag. It's in wonderful condition with just a little wear next to the handle. It's had some repair on some of the stitching which wasn't done at Hermes so perhaps this was the reason for the great price. A lot of the pieces were substantially more expensive so was very happy with this find!! Didier Ludot himself served me which was a wonderful plus!
