Sometimes in life there are chance meetings, where you happen to be at an event and meet someone and you instantly have a connection with them because you have so much in common. This happened to me at the beginning of the year when I was at a laidback spa bachelorette party of a dear friend. Standing in our group ready to experience a clay mud grotto certainly knocks down inhabitations as you wait outside said grotto in your bathing suits. I happened to be stood next to Bridgette Sanossian.

Initially we got chatting about family and life experiences (many we both shared) and after the mud spa, our chat continued poolside. It turns out Bridgette was about to launch her exciting new fashion line, B’CAUSE and this love of fashion coupled with her film background solidified the connection. I couldn't wait to hear more and so a short week later was driving down to chat to her and her sister and co-founder, Brittney Osborne to see and hear the details of the new line.

The location for the first time I meet with the sisters was at Bridgette’s residential office space 6 months or so ahead of the launch of their line. Bridgette and Brittney showed me sketches, mood boards, women who’ve inspired the collection and the ethos behind the collection. It’s a brand that is designed for women that have busy lives, a capsule collection of 8 staple pieces that are classic in design but with a modern twist at an affordable price point.

The collection, most excitingly, is a day to night collection taking their customer from boardroom to bar, designed in California as a homage to iconic women in history and for women who are about to make history.

One of the things that struck me most about Bridgette when we first met, was her passion for living a full life. One that is filled in every corner with family and a career, as she balances both, managing to be around for her family as well as starting a company that she is so passionate about.

After meeting Brittney, I could tell the sisters were cut from the same cloth. Both Bridgette and Brittney graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts, and therefore have a love of characters and storytelling. And now they’ve both managed to combine fashion and creativity with their new company B’CAUSE by storytelling through their clothes.

B’CAUSE is a line that tells the story of a brave, successful woman who is unapologetic for her success. She is strong, yet feminine and a woman’s woman, able to uplift others, because she knows there is room for all women to be successful, “Our dream is much more than just a fashion line. It is a love letter to women, reminding them they are brave.  Being brave isn’t an inherent trait; it is a behavior, an action and decision to move from the worker-bee to the boss,” says Bridgette.

The two women have an experienced career background themselves. Prior to launching the brand Bridgette spent seven years working in the television development business, working for Fox Broadcasting, William Morris Endeavor and the Chairman of 20th Century Fox Television whilst Brittney worked in brand development and public relations. Their combined experience has proven to be invaluable when it came to launching their line. They work so well together and are a beautiful example of the women they’ve been inspired by and have become.

Their message couldn’t feel more apt in a time where women often need reminding that they are inspiring just the way we are, “Not 10 pounds from now, when they get the next job, a relationship, get married, have children, etc. There is power and privilege in being a woman and being confident at this very moment. Living to your own standards is attractive.” The sisters say.

Brittney says,
We are built by the women before us: our mothers, grandmothers and icons. These women remind us we are mavericks. Every single day we have the choice to write our stories and be the humans we are called to be. We took that leap starting B’CAUSE and we hope to ignite that same fire in someone else

Several months later I’m standing at the launch of the brand, seeing the sisters vision come to life. The launch is located at a pop up store in Fashion Island in California and I can safely say they have seen through their brand ethos to a T both by the campaign, the women at the event who are there to support the sisters and of course, the clothes themselves.

As I leave I’m left knowing that B’CAUSE is telling us that it’s ok to be exactly who we are and that now more than ever we need to be there to champion one another and that you are enough, exactly as you are.
