Hong Kong!

It's been a little bit of time since my last blog, so I have some catching up to do! The past few weeks were crazy with a great time in Japan (see previous blog) followed by a week in Hong Kong which was more crowded than ever with designer hungry Christmas shoppers, followed by a week in London, on to Sweden for Christmas, quick one night stop back in England before going to LA for two days, then jumped on a plane the next day to ring in the new year in Chicago. Can't wait to show you what I saw now I've finally had time to upload!

Let's start with what I saw in Hong Kong!!

Hong Kong was home to me for 6 years when I was growing up, so it's always nice to go back and visit. One of my favourate times to go is just before Christmas. The weather is much cooler and less humid than the rest of the year and the Christmas displays are always stella~ Take a look!

One of my favourates Christmas displays yet was this Christmas, when Causeway Bay’s  Hysan Place brought the past and present of fashion together on a beautifully decorated stage.

Above you can see 90 years of fashion, saluting the classics as well as seeing the new directions of fashion from different  eras. Showcasing antique models, vintage photographs, and original historical artifacts. Also being showcased was exquisitely handcrafted Cheongsams.

In addition Hong Kong fashion designers debut their design which were inspired by Hong Kong fashion from the 1930’s through to today. The ultimate for me was seeing the amazingly grand six metre fashion Christmas tree made into a beautiful dress.  It was a wonderful place to see some of the most stunning fashion through the ages, culminating in one of the most amazing Christmas/ fashion displays I've seen!
I had a bit of a chaotic week with meetings, so wasn't able to document any looks, but Hong Kong is a great place to allow yourself to dress up if you feel like it. I wore a lot of monochrome, black Prada cropped trousers, white with black lined CK blouses, jeans and heels. Below are some items / celeb looks which might help you with your HK wardrobe if you ever take a trip there! The weather is still fairly warm so a light jacket some times even just T-shirt, is fine for the day and perhaps a slightly warmer jacket for evenings.
