For it's SS18 collection the designers and cousins, Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa showed a collection inspired by Bahrain, the duo’s home country, with the use of both cotton and silk fabrics the collection showed a re-interepreted vision on the traditional Bahrain silhouette.
Known for their embellishments, combining a blend of both western and eastern inspirations the collection didn’t disappoint.
The collection was made up of red, white, pink, black, monochrome and a ladybug print. With their feminine aesthetic balanced with a menswear inspired silhouette, the collection was a perfect blend of feminine toughness.
The menswear influence came in the form of wide leg trousers, menswear inspired shirts, all the while blended with airy materials to ensure a femininity ran throughout.
Two new additions to the collection this season included T-shirts emblazed with the Arabic words for “Wisdom” and “Love” translated in English on the back.
Another addition to this season was the inclusion of handbags, having collaborated with LA based handbag designer Tyler Ellis. Made up of two styles, the Kelly Box and Lee Pouchet envelope clutch, the bags matched perfectly with the collection, certainly adding additional luxury to the looks with the 10-piece handbag collection. Speaking of the handbags, Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa said, “This season has marked our first handbag collaboration. When we sat with Tyler and her team, we all felt that Tyler Ellis and Noon By Noor were a perfect match.”
The collection was another knockout showcase of the designer duo's ability to create feminine and timeless pieces with effortless elegance and edge.
